As a complement to Vertes Retreat, Black Cabin is a two-bedroom, one-bath guest retreat situated directly at the lakeside. Our focus was on meticulous execution of the design: creating expansive sliding glass pocket doors that seamlessly connect interior living spaces to the concrete exteriors facing the water; crafting generous roof overhangs to shield the cabin from coastal weather; and executing floor-to-ceiling glazing to maximise natural light and visual connection to the lake. Inside, the finishes are restrained in material palette but heightened in precision: clean millwork lines, tightly coordinated window systems, and weather-resistant exterior cladding installed with care.

Built as a connected but independent lakeside abode, its thoughtful siting, strong indoor-outdoor relationship, and purpose-driven detailing show how Jenkins Construction carries forward the same level of craftsmanship and quality across every structure on the property.
