Carpenter Position

We seek an experienced Carpenter to join our team. Carpenters perform various tasks including framing, trim work, cabinetry, and woodworking while ensuring building codes and regulations compliance. The ideal candidate should be highly skilled, safety-conscious, and able to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize carpentry tools and equipment to perform various tasks such as measuring, cutting, drilling, joining,
    and finishing.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, architectural plans, and specifications to ensure accurate execution of
    carpentry work.

  • Select and use appropriate materials, considering their properties and applications.

  • Troubleshoot and solve problems that may arise during carpentry projects, ensuring precision and accuracy.

  • Assist in planning and organizing work tasks, materials, and resources to meet project scope.

  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and permits while maintaining a safe and clean
    work environment.

  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure project success.

  • Complete assigned tasks within established timelines and budgets, reporting progress as required.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma.

  • Minimum 3-4 years of experience in construction at a Carpentry level.

  • Competence in at least 2 of the main building stages: formwork, framing, siding, and finishing.

  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory.

  • Carpenter's pouch, hand tools, Skill saw, Drill set, 4' Level, and Rafter Square.

  • Must have reliable transportation and be punctual.

  • Ability to lift 60 lbs as required.

  • Red Seal Journeyman Carpentry Certification is a strong asset.
